Why do I feel so unexcited for my birthday?
I'm usually a very positive person. I'm always happy, loud, and just being a funny ass dude. But, now that my birthdays coming up, I feel so unexcited and negative. I get less and less excited with each coming birthday. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm thankful for sixteen years of life and waking up everyday. It's just that I'm not really sure how to feel. I guess I'm finally realizing that I'm no longer a kid. I'm growing up and that sucks.

I could be wrong though and your current ones genuinely like you for who you are and will remain with you until the end. I hope you find that spark which will ignite the happines inside you again.

I turned 18 yesterday. Living on the east coast means that most of my friends were down the shore away from me. I still managed to have a good time, but it definitely becomes less of a celebration as you go on. Other than the 21st birthday...

1 ReplyBirthdays are a letdown all around. Except for 21 and 25 there really isn't much to cheer about. I liked being 16 though, it's about when girls notice that you're old enough to be of some use! And you can drive which is cool if said girls accompany you. Just enjoy life before real life starts yeah?

"Oh men, I can't wait to be 16 so I can drive" "I can't wait to turn 21 so I can legally drink". At some point, Birthdays just represent the fact that you're becoming old, and will inevitably die.
