There would be no harm in enabling players to continue to upgrade their favorite things and take them through the decade. None. We wouldn't stop trying new things, and as long as Bungie continued to create new and interesting toys to play with and continued to use their creativity to make items that appeal to us, it wouldn't get stale. Players should have the option to refresh their experience when they want to, not at Bungie's whim. The advantage to enabling players control of their own experience is it maintains a very large element of customization and expression, which is something this game is in need of. Therefore, going back on the promise of enabling players to upgrade their stuff and take it with us into the future is detrimental to the game. It's a bad call, and the game is worse for it.

  • Thank you, and I'm not fighting for an instant ascension. I feel that we should immerse ourselves into TTK gear in order to beat the raid in order to earn a material that can ascend a single piece of gear. That way people ARE forced to try the new, and still have the option to bring the old. Well worded post, and I have bumped it!
