You should probably try requesting a new verification email. Open your profile settings and select the Notifications and Email tab on the left. Scroll down to the bottom, I believe there should be a link to request a new verification email.
If you still don't get an email, try using an email address from a different provider (e.g. if you're using Yahoo, try using Gmail or Outlook)
