• I'm only "childish" when the opportunity presents itself and none of them are around to see me do it. Plus, I've had a lot to drink tonight, and I'm a lightweight. I may or may not be slightly drunk by now.

Ah. That would explain it. Body size and experience play a large role in how you handle your booze. As for the other two...

  • Drinking. You'll have one hell of a hangover if you're a lightweight.

Mm, maybe. Maybe you're just afraid I'll drink you under the table if you get your own glass. Hm? Yeah, on the job, I know you'll say something like that just to stop a "professional" from getting beat by a little girl that's already almost drunk.

  • He laughs. I'll take my chances. Alcohol dulls the senses, slows reaction time. Not to mention, my job actually has requirements.

If I wasn't here on business, I would gladly drink. Toughness matters not when it comes to following orders. You wouldn't get drunk before an op now would you?

  • Your business being to try and get under my skin. Too bad that didn't get you anything but a spilled drink.

I'm not worried, because I'm not paying for it. My business was to find out about you and your little friends who got onto my ship.

Phoenix isn't a killer, no matter what he says, what he thinks. Be thankful it was him you were dealing with, and the only wound your friend got was a little cut.

  • She laughs. All talk and no bite, you people... "Professionals" that can't even take two teens. How much did your armor and weapons cost exactly? That armor must be fortunes worth, and seven dollars worth of scrounged junk put together by a sixteen year old made it immobile with, a little push. Pretty sad right? Of course, you will say "You wouldn't have been able to get out" or "If he was really trying", but you really think we couldn't have adapted like we did for your buddy? Pl~ease.

One little shot is all it takes. He draws his magnum and opens the cylinder, pulling out a bullet. With no armor, this is all it takes. And to my armor, that wouldn't work.

  • Then shoot the other guy first, or just don't get hit. You know how much help a person's armor would be against a hundred and twenty millimeters of tungsten? About as much as nothing, just weighs you down. Now that's not to say that a little bit won't help in my opinion, I'm just saying your fancy armor is overrated.

My armor's not near as bulky as his, and you'd be surprised at how agile it is. Light enough for quick movement, tough enough to take a tank shell. 120mm is the typical size of most tank shells, and believe me, I've tested the armor's resilience time and time again, and yes, against tungsten. Besides, how do you plan on getting your hands on a 120mm gun?

  • Most. You said most shells. Consider an iridium core sabot round slamming into your helmet faster than the sound of the shot. Also consider it most likely isn't the only one, a good tank crew can cycle another downrange in just under three seconds. It also might not be the only tank. Plus tanks usually come with other weapons or support, usually air or infantry, or both. Coaxial or the commander's cupola can rip you up too, while the rest of the shots come in. She crosses her legs, clearly happy to be discussing something that interests her; Guns and weapons in general. She probably doesn't seem to notice she's getting slightly off topic. So you're a bunch of mercs specific to the actual work right? This sounds like something that could actually happen in one of your tougher jobs. Now my own plan for something like that is to simply not play on their terms- She leans over, grabbing up her rifle with one hand and putting it on the table. Those looking, as well as the bartender, quickly look away, not going to be the one to tell her she can't keep such a thing inside. -consider this. I'm sure you of all people can recognize it.
^Custom Barrette, bunch of small additions. Some examples; Canted Iron sights, Low light hybrid scope, black coated thermal absorbent material, high velocity armor piercing rounds with interchangeable munitions, and the more obscure ones. It's very expensive/high value, and very versatile.
