Right, I'm making this because of the slack people give Bungie for their game.
Before I start describing the story for the blind people, I first want to clear some stuff up.
1) Activision have a say on what happens in Destiny. - The reason Halo turned out so well is because Microsoft were more lenient on what Bungie did - Halo was their best-selling game after all! Trust me, Bungie hasn't changed, they still try to deliver the best content possible!
2) Linking to 1; Bungie do not have the final say on the price of DLC. As said before, Activision heavily influence it. Have a problem? Go sort it out with Activision - I'm sure they'll listen. (Obvious sarcasm is obvious.)
Now to start with the story.
The golden age, the time when everything was in place. The traveller allowed the human (and other) race to thrive. Technology was at its peak.
But then, the darkness - everything evil, approaches. Devouring everything it sees. Everything great disappeared. Even the fallen - a once great race, were turned to scavengers. They were impacted so badly that they could not remain as one race/clan. Instead, houses were made.
Traveller gets hurt golden age collapses bla bla bla.
'In its dying light, the Traveller created the ghosts, to open do-I mean stop the darkness'
Ghosts resurrected warriors [insert useless information here]
Guardians (copyright halo 2015) go to le tower - the last standing city on Earth, you know, that rock we live on?
We are first tasked with stopping Fallen scavengers on Earth (with a little hive too). This is not for the story, this is to make Earth safer and establish links the the Golden age. (To improve technology)
After all of this earth stuff, you go to the moon. Why do you go to the moon? Because a stupid guardian got killed and we were chosen to investigate. Let's just say, the reason you are on the moon is because you are trying to expand the Vanguard territory past Earth. And also to save the Traveller, but who cares about that right?
Fast forward to Venus - you are here because of the Stranger, a mysterious exo who doesn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time to explain. She told you to go there. She sets you up for the main story in Destiny. The rest of Venus is working towards understanding the Vex, so you can get the gate lords head for the queens brother (nobody likes crow). You are also on Venus to wipe out a Fallen Kell, to weaken them so that moving against the fallen is easier. Because apparently leaders of the Vanguard are not powerful enough to do it themselves. - The Archive is a side mission for the Cryptarchs, and is also your best lead for the Vault of Glass. Starting to make sense now isn't it?
Ok now Mars. The Vanguards don't want a war with cabal, it just so happens that the gate to the black garden (the place the exo told you to go to) is in their territory. And like most animals, they don't just give up territory. This is even more proof the Cabal are space turtles.
You do some more Golden age stuff bla bla bla, charge the gate lord eye etc who cares lol.
Then BAM. You are in the black garden. Stuff happens you shoot stuff maybe even farm a few Hydra's and then boom, you saved the day.
Why did the black garden need destroying? Because it was evil, it drove the Vex, and created them. This is the main target because it was the most threatening to the Traveller. Mass produced organic time travelling robot cyborgs? No thank you, goodbye.
If you somehow still don't see a story, comment what part is too complex to you and Ill dumb it down. I'll add DLC later this took so long curse you auto correct.
Love you all xxx
Especially you DeeJ xxxxx
