I run track and cross country. This year I will be Team Leader for both of them and we run everyday except for Sunday

A dude from work told me jogging is bad for the knees, one is better of doing a sprint, even if they cant sprint for long rather than a long but slow jog. He read it in a fitness mag, can you confirm?

Tbh I don't really know what is best, but from my 5 years of experience it is all dependent on the terrain and intensity. So running a lot on hard surfaces can cause shin splints and other injuries related to a lot of shock on the muscles. I run about ~5 miles a day and haven't had any knee problems.

I would say jogging is perfectly fine tho :)
