Spartan IV's are just good soldiers. Spartan II's were built to be weapons. Spartan II's win.

In your opinion.

No it's simple facts. Spartans IV's were just soldiers from different military backgrounds that were exemplary soldiers and got Spartan armor. Spartans II's were kidnapped as kids and made to be super soldiers. They are just better. It's a fact.

Edited by ROBERTO jh: 7/29/2015 8:03:12 PMThey were augmented the same as the SIIs were. They're superhuman, not just soldiers.
-
Edited by Spartan Marshall: 7/29/2015 6:43:24 PMStill not a fact lol but it does lead me to the question, is it better to be born great or to strive for greatness? Sure the II's were kidnapped, they were a science experiment gone wrong. Most of them died in the process, they were basically guinea pigs for ONI. They were also children, they didn't have a choice. Spartan IV's on the other hand, heroically volunteered themselves to be in the program, knowing everything they had to sacrifice in order to protect humanity. The II's may be better strategic wise, but the IV's are more heroic. So what's more important, to be machine or human?
-
Well a lot of the IIs died in scum use missions they volunteered for... So I don't see your point.
-
I don't see your point either.
-
And the II's weren't a science experiment gone wrong they were meant to be created as a super soldier. Just some couldn't handle the intense changes that augmentation caused on their body so some did die, about 120 of the 500 Spartans.
-
If most of them died, it indeed had gone wrong.
-
Not most of them. Just some who's bodies couldn't handle the changes. If the experiment went wrong everyone would have died.
-
Edited by Spartan Marshall: 7/29/2015 7:46:10 PMNo, if it didn't have gone wrong, none of them should've died. 120 out of 500? Yeah, that's not good.
-
That's still 380 super soldiers. Soldiers that in it all saved humanity. I'm sorry but you have no argument that could convince anyone that the Spartan IV's are better. Yeah there awesome, but you can't beat the Spartan II's.
-
I would disagree the II's are equally heroic because hundreds died in battle, giving their lives to protect the people they needed to protect. Yeah the IV's might have more humanity because they are just average soldiers with superior skills and gave them the edge in battle, but the II's were made to be better soldiers with the physical changes they went through and the extreme training they went through, all working together as a team creating that team work and humanity that they have. They know what they were created to do and are willing to do anything to protect the people they were created to protect.
-
They do it because that's their orders. That's all they know how to do because that's how they were raised. Yes the Spartan II's are heroic, but they're juat weapons. What's more important, being a weapon or human?
-
Weapons. Weapons saved humanity. The IV's didn't.
-
Edited by Spartan Marshall: 7/29/2015 7:55:39 PMYes they did, most of them were marines and ODST's before they became Spartans. Besides, that's the past, we're talking about now.
-
I didn't see any Spartan IV's hop on the Didacts ship and help chief take it down. They just aren't capable of taking on an enemy of that power.
-
Edited by Spartan Marshall: 7/29/2015 8:07:04 PMNot sure it would fit in with the story, but I'm sure if they found a way, they would've definitely helped him. If it weren't for Cortana, the Chief would've just been tossed of into slipspace by the Didact lol.
-
Even now. The few Spartan II's that are still remaining could easily take down any Spartan IV's. Tell me how I'm wrong?
-
Didn't say you were wrong, but even the wiki says a typical IV can take on a II. II's have the physical and training advantage, while IV's have the technological and mental advantages. Try comparing Agent Locke to the Chief, it might give you a better understanding.
