Micro Evolution vs Macro Evolution
The idea that organisms are all part of distinct "kinds" that they evolve within. It rejects that those "kinds" could be connected by a greater chain of evolution leading to their distinct traits, a larger version of the variance in smaller traits.
Let's apply that logic to Geology.
We observe mountains growing very slowly, so I can accept that. However, those mountains were always there because we don't observe them change from a non-mountain terrain into a mountain.
Does that not sound ridiculous?

There was a point relatively recently when the Himalayas did not exist. Even more recent was the formation of Hawaii. Continental drift and volcanic activity can create or destroy mountains over periods of time.
