I really hope optional mm comes, but as far as this game goes until that happens I'm pretty much done. I had started leveling up a warlock (again) just to stagnate at level 10 with the thought "this character is just going to end up at the same point as the others." I promptly stopped playing and decided another game was the Actual answer to my problems.
Any time previously spent on Destiny will now be taken up by the used copy of Dragon Ball Xenoverse I just picked up, Rocket League (seriously. Try it.), ESO, Bloodborne, Dragon Age, or any other game that's actually inviting to players past the front door (maybe not Bloodborne so much, but that stress is actually rewarded-- AND expected.)
Destiny just needs to get better. I don't understand the lack of Everything. Bungie never had a game until now that evoked the thought "Man, this is it huh?" If Wil Wheaton doesn't think the game is repetative and droll, its because he took one character directly to 30, did a successful VOG right off the bat and proceeded to shelf Destiny. Never had to rerun anything to realize that YES, actually the mobs ALWAYS spawn in the EXACT same spot at the EXACT same time and thus can be cakewalked through so long as your boomstick goes boom, stiil.
