True, it does have some MMO aspects, even if they are poorly implemented. Yet, in my opinion it's missing the biggest parts that make an MMO an MMO. For example...
-Tons of end game content.
-Hundreds of other players on screen at any given time.
-Almost infinite options available for diverse character builds.
-A coherent story.
-They make gear irrelevant after years, not every few months.
-LFG systems built into the game.
-Player trading/player auction houses/player influenced economies.
There's more, but I'm tired of typing for the moment.
WoW is currently the biggest MMO. It has 1 relevant raid, you'll only see 100 people in a capital, there was no LFG for a long time, the character customization isn't great, and they release 1 expansion a year, making the old gear irrelevant. And the story sucks recently. Destiny isn't that far off.
