I like how different the three are, so I was wondering what the community thought of these new weapons' looks.
Building reliable tools built for soldiers in the field, Hakke values simplicity over intricacy. Function over flair. Hakke weapons all start with a more tightly focused band of base stats that don’t spike as high or low as other weapon families, granting a solid foundation for growing the weapon. On a Hakke talent grid you’ll see a simplified set of scopes that work best for the weapon, front-loaded perk nodes, with the stat upgrade options occupying the final column. Hakke perk selection is focused on offensive actions and combat tactics. Hakke Pulse Rifles fire a burst of four rounds with damage adjusted to match the DPS of a three round burst, meaning the pulse rounds do less individually but are equal as a group. Fire time between bursts is slightly faster.

Pioneers of energy weaponry, Omolon is the first foundry to experiment beyond the world of combustion ballistics. Sporting lighter ergonomic frames, Omolon weapons all start with generous base handling stats to build from. Omolon talent grids focus on behavioral perks over stat customization. Legendary talent grids are the only weapons that offer three perks: one as the first non-scope upgrade and two as a binary choice in the final column. Perk selection favors perks that are energy based and/or go beyond the weapon to interact with the wielder’s abilities or status.
SUROS
Suros Auto Rifle

Suros Rocket Launcher
Some say the best weapon for a Guardian is the one they can customize to match their intent. Suros believes in options - weapons that can be repurposed for a variety of combat situations. Suros talent grids offer two columns of two stat perks, granting more options for changing weapon stats than any other foundry. The single behavior perk is grounded in the middle of the talent grid as a focus point for the weapon’s core potential. If you want a weapon that can flex from CQ to ranged, quick to powerful, fast handling to hard hitting all with the swap of a few nodes: SUROS.
Personally, I'm leaning towards Omolon. I like the mechanical and robotic look to their weapons along with the design philosophy.
Edit: Wait, so Suros has Suros Regime, Omolon has Hard Light, but we don't know which is the Hakke Exotic, do we? Possible MIDA Multitool.

8 RepliesAs far as I know there is no confirmed Häkke Exotic. Based on their new design, and that Häkke produced Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, and Scout Rifles, the Monte Carlo or the MIDA Multi-Tool could be Häkke exotics. I can't decide between any of these manufacturers. The new manufacturer idea reminds me a lot of Borderlands (fun fact, I'm playing it right now) and I hope Bungie will create many more guns with distinctive traits between manufacturers (IE Tex Mechanica has high impact, Crux/Lomar has high blast radius etc.).
-
I'm digging SUROS's vibe. Definitely gonna get my paws on some of their weapons.
-
Omolon all day. I have over 2000 kills with just my Hard Light lol.
-
Omolon
-
Anyone else see that they made a comment at the end about getting in on the smiths new system. Are they saying something that unthinking hey are saying. And if they are saying it they much have a method that will be full proof. In a way that still make the grind real.
-
Hakke because they look so cool
-
I'm leaning towards Hakke, with Suros in a close second. Right now I favor power and versatility in my arsenal. And those foundries seem to fit the bill.
-
I need know what kind of elements or impact before I buy it..I kind of wish they have elements blacksmith on primary weapons
-
That Omolon sniper though..........
-
I am not please that for this expansion, ill be forced to use that ugly Omolon Handcannon; I hope that the other Manufacturers make Handcannon's.
-
1 ReplyTediore, Maliwan, or Hyperion? :P As familiar as this sounds, I'm still looking foward to them finally expanding on their manufactors. Especially Tex Mechanica (Jakobs).
-
Hmm, the Suros auto rifle looks like a modified M41A Pule Rifle from Aliens.
-
2 RepliesI can't wait to try out Omolon's Sniper Rifle!
-
Edited by NOVA Perc: 7/24/2015 12:13:46 AMHakke reminds me of MIDA multi tool. Seems to fit design pillars And yes, I know they are Pulse rifle in the description. But no Pulse rifle now fits the simple soldier combat action focus like Mida.
-
I just don't like Hakke because it reminds me of call of duty and I do t want to go back to that
-
Omolon literally looks like blocks and Suros has that hood on every gun
-
Edited by akimbo slice17: 7/24/2015 12:11:02 AMI like hakke, omolon better than suros
-
3 RepliesYou should've put factions as a choice and vanguard/crucible
-
3 RepliesI like Hakke. Reminds me of Halo a bit. More simple, militaristic style. I wanna see the Hakke sniper. It better have top tier impact.
-
1 ReplyI love all of them, but voted Omolon because of that sexy ass sniper rifle. Oh baby
-
3 RepliesHard light has been my favorite since I laid eyes on it, and now I get an entire gun set based on its look? -blam!- YEAH
-
maybe if they were addressed in the story during gameplay I might have an opinion.
-
I'll just stick with my ascended weapons those look horrendous in my opinion
-
Tex mechanica
-
I like THEM ALL.
