Why would it need a beta though...?
It's a Fighting game, it'll be patched afterwards anyway.

Fighting games are judged on how well they run online. SF4 was one of the best coded games last gen.

Betas are more than likely a server stress test, most games in general don't need them. Sides all it takes is a pre-order and I'm in, something to do on my PS4.

Fair enough I suppose. I'm not really a fan of Street Fighter, I was just curious as to the purpose of the Beta.

Again the same purpose as a majority of betas(more so on console), nothing more than a glorified stress test. Nothing new or shocking.
