There is the sound of a screech and then an explosion. Behind her the two buildings that created the alleyway suddenly collapsed and vanished in the same manner the man did.
Although she was around the corner there was the feeling she was no longer alone.
thats fine. As long as she saw it...
She looks both ways while backing against a wall, her hand brushes the cloth off the blade, it glints in the low light. She keeps her eyes and ears open, waiting for the threat that seems to her looming.
-
The same figure stepped forward into sight. It paused for a moment then took another dangerous step forward.
-
She assumes a two handed grip on the blade in your direction, her stands impeccable to hint she's not a simple amateur. She's ready to defend herself if she needs to.
-
After letting a few more tense seconds linger the unknown figure speaks, it is a male voice and quiet, not a whisper but a coiled volume ready to lunge if it is not heard. "You are not from here."
-
She doesn't move from her stance, but visibly sizes you up. No. Who are you?
-
He laughs but it is without humor. "A precursor, a descendant, a destroyer, a savior. Brand me for what you want but I will see this city fall, and watch another build from it. And I will see your fall as well. But what brings you to the brand of ruin?"
-
Edited by Kinda Red: 7/23/2015 12:24:20 PMShe still doesn't relax, probably due to the prevalence of danger in your prophetic words. That depends on who is asking. So far you do not seem worthy of any trust.
Badass mode lol
"My duty is to watch civilizations rise and fall. We set their foundations and let them build to a golden age. But when they become corrupt and begin to die out, we wipe them out, make sure that no one ever knows about them. Then we let a different civilization grow. Soon my brothers and sisters will come and tear down this golden city brick by brick. If you linger here too long you will become attached to this city and we will terminate you as well without prejudice. I don't care if innocent blood is spilt on my hands, I only care when the time to spill it becomes relevant."
-
She stays silent for a moment, giving you a stern look of distain or even disgust.
She's 15... omg.....
-
"Look down on me I don't care. All of them do, but in the end it is me who is looking down. As I watch their corpses and homes burn then vanish from this world."
-
You sure sound like you care, otherwise you wouldn't have spoken forth.
-
"I'll kill you when the fall of your era is at hand. But you are not part of this era so there isn't a need to end you. Unless..." He puts a hand on the hilt of the sword on his back. "You want to die now."
-
I never said I wished to die, I will not go down without a fight. If you are a great evil, then it would be my duty to vanquish you in battle.
-
He puts his hand back off the door and laughs again. "Well then for your sake do not decide I am evil."
-
I assume you think you're better then all before you? Your words tell the tale. If I was to beat you, and I am not implying I will or will not, it would be a great embarrassment to you, to be beaten by someone like me. She cocks her head to one side, finding the thought of that slightly amusing to her mind.
-
"I wouldn't be around to feel the embarrassment would I? But you are not the first child I have met playing warrior. And you will not be the last. But it's you who's issuing the challenge now."
-
You think I wish to kill? No. Killing is Immoral without justification. I have not issued a challenge yet, if I wanted to, I would have. If you wish to attack me I am more then ready to protect myself.
-
Edited by boogeyman333: 7/23/2015 7:15:36 PM"Oh I'm not going to attack you yet...although in a city like this I wouldn't be surprised if someone attacked you first. I just realized, are you lost little girl?"
no creepiness intended IRL
-
so creepy...
She tenses, due to your creepiness. With your plans that doesn't matter. I'm just a speck of dust in the winds of destruction.
-
"No, I remember every person I kill, where I killed them and how. I also tend to remember their final moments. It makes it less boring that way. But since you haven't chosen whether I am good or evil that leaves me to do good or evil choices to you. And escorts don't usually come free don't they?" He tilts his head in a joking manner.
-
She squints, confused at most of what you said. You would have to kill me first, I would not give up easily. If you want to try; stop wasting your time with speech.
-
Another screeching sound was made and the figure turned to face it. He suddenly drew his sword. "You are an interesting child. Mature, I'm sure that you are the kind that wants to be independent while helping others on some righteous value. But you will need the help of allies soon. The power of the forces here outweigh yours. So make haste with whatever you choose. Time is running out here." A dark purple essence suddenly opened from the wall behind him and another warrior stepped out wearing the same attire as the man. It raised its sword and tried to advance on her but the original one stuck his sword out to block the newcomer. "Not yet, this one's fall is not today." The newcomer spoke in a lower more gruff voice. And pushed down the sword "What is with the small play you are at? Kill her and move on." "She is not of this civilization." The deeper warrior sniffed with disdain and turned back walking back into the essence. "I'm killing her personally when her time comes." The original man followed his comrade waving at the girl. "I'm reserving her for myself." They both vanish leaving a hole where the wall used to be.

She lets out a breath, seemingly she had been holding it. ...strange people... Maybe even a little narcissistic, but entertaining... She looks both ways, making sure nothing else is around, then continues on her way.
