RNG is the best loot system for Destiny at the moment. If Bungie wanted to replace it with something else, Destiny and all of the activities would need some changes. Also, is the only reason for your hate towards RNG that Ghorn thing?

No man, it's not just Ghorn. It's watching as I roll my third or fourth Celestial Nighthawk. It's after I receive my 14th Truth, my 7th Icebreaker, my 9th Dragons Breath, etc. etc. and I see people also not getting certain things dropped. I understand what you are saying and that plenty of games have RNG, I just feel it's a lazy system and a way to artificially inflate playtime and eventually people, such as myself, are going to put the game down. I started a countdown of roughly 5% each week I didn't receive Ghorn (because it's literally the only thing I need at this point) and I don't feel good receiving the same rewards week in and week out. Crota Hard literally dropped Fang of Ir Yut 14 times in a row. The game feels like a pointless endeavor at this juncture. I already purchased Taken King but I'm just done with the drop rate of this game. Over it. Everybody can have their opinions on what system is good and what system is not I would've just preferred a system in which I can work towards obtaining any exotic. It would be great if I had to go through some stuff to get Ghorn, or whatever similar to the Exotic Bounties. In addition, even if it was just for an increase in odds. I agree, their activities and what not would need some changes. I'm willing to bet they won't be changing it anytime soon. I'm just upset about it and frankly, I love the game but it can only hold my attention for so long. Repetition and never seeing something drop gets disheartening and wears on the player. The struggle is real, lol.

You should try and see this game in a different way. Right now you only care about loot. Try having fun sometimes. Play not because you want Ghorn or Black Hammer, play because you like the game and the people you play with. If you can't do that, I am sorry to say that this game is simply not for you.

My challenge to you would be the same. To look at the game this way. What is your objective? What is your goal within the game? Not "to play with friends". My question is, what is your goal?

So, you're trying to obtain loot. Which is what the game is mostly based on. To do things (Nightfalls, Raids, Strikes, Crucible) to obtain new gear or weapons. It's the baseline of the game. To me, to say to look at it differently, there's no other way to look at it. To play a game, spend my time (which is maybe an hour or two every so often) on a game that I have no goal in or at least one that is guaranteed. Is not an optimal use of my gaming time. I have plenty of other games to play. I love this game. I love playing it but I need more than that at this point as it's almost been a year of playing.

Yea, but I am not playing the game just to get that loot. Sure it would be nice to get those missing exotics and Dry Rot. (And the DO ship) But I don't go to Destiny like "if I don't get that thing now I swear..." I think: "I should play some Destiny, it would be great to get that loot." Imo loot should not be the main reason to game, but it should be a side-goal.

We are just in different places then within the game and that's cool. I hope you never get to where I am mentally with it (Don't know how long you've been playing). I used to be in your position but after awhile I've become jaded and tired of the game and grinding. Like I said I still enjoy certain things but I'm thinking I need a break to refresh it. I feel Taken King will be a good point for that. We'll see how next week goes. I have PoE with friends tonight to get my Queenbreaker's Bow finished out.

Seems like you are burned out. I was close to that at one point, but these things helped me. 1. Limit your playtime. As soon as the game starts feeling grindy and not fun, close the game. 2. Play a totally different game. Rocket League, Bloodborne and some free-to-play games are my jam when I get tired of Destiny.
