Why would Bungie allow people to give items? We're talking about trading here - not gifting.

I never said anything about gifting. If you thought smartly about what I said they could just be swapping greens for an exotic

If Bungie implemented trading you will only be able to trade weapons of the same tier. Exotics for exotics, legendaries for legendaries, etc.
