Only thing I disagree with it shotguns. If you read the first bullet of Bungies you'll never newest and. But you think shot guns should be NOT be one shit kills? GTFO.

Going back to original Halo, Bungie has a concept of shotguns very different from the real world :) Typical shotgun spread in the real world, at 15 feet, is a few inches across. At 50 feet, it is maybe 18 inches wide give or take. It depends on barrel length and choke. This can be ignored in the interest of balance, I just find it funny. Sort of like Bungie making one round from a handgun more powerful than one round from a rifle - very rarely true in reality, but without this Bungie-ism, nobody would use handguns.

To be fair the magnum fired explosive 12.7mm rounds and the Assault Rifle fired 7.62 FMJ AP rounds

Edited by OurWildebeest: 7/17/2015 11:55:11 PMI read that the AR was supposed to be firing 7.62x51 rounds. If so, that is around 2700 foot pounds at the muzzle. One shot can punch through car doors with ease and would frequently be lethal. 12.7mm from a handgun would be in the 1600 foot pound region, at least going by the real-world 12.7mm. Maybe explosive vs AP makes a big difference, but not as big as observed in the game.

Halo shotguns were one shot kills. You just had to be close.
