she lays down on a small table he cleared off, fading between reality and her dreams

The ship hurtles through space as he checks to see if the wound has an exit. It was a clean through and through. He injects the injury with blood coagulant. He then bandages the wound and helps her drink some water from his canteen. He didn't trust anything on this ship enough to use it on her.
-
she falls asleep soon after he bandaged the wound and drank the water, tired after not getting sleep the past few days
-
He watched her sleep for awhile, he remembered when their places had been reversed. He left her side very little, waiting for her to wake.
-
later in the trip, she wakes up suddenly, screaming slightly and thrashing out with an arm
-
He jolts awake having fallen asleep himself. He did his best to calm her. "kora it's alright it was just a dream, you're okay. It's gonna be alright."
-
she looks at him, unsure of what to say
-
"It's alright, it was just a nightmare. I had them too, I still do. They happen from time to time, it's the summoner."
-
she nods, and sits upright
-
"Easy there, you were shot remember? What do you need I'll get it for you."
-
"Just to sit, probably won't be able to sleep for a while..."
-
Pavel looks at her skeptically, but nods in understanding. "It was the same for me, you remember that night you passed out drunk in my bed?"
-
"Yes?"
-
"That was the first time I'd gotten decent sleep, the alcohol helped, but since then the nightmares only come once and awhile."
-
"Doesn't sound fun, and at least I'll know what to expect..." she sighs
-
"Listen, I know right now you won't want to talk about... What happened if you eventually ever do I'm here for you."
-
"You can already see one of the many things he did" she gestures to her face, before looking away
-
He took off his shirt, revealing a patchwork of tattoos and of scars. Large jagged lines run across his chest and back. "I know, and he will pay for it, for everything he's done."
-
she looks at him, before looking away again "He also, constantly berated my mind, trying to gain entry to it He also used plaque flies..." she shudders slightly
-
"He did that and he forced me to watch as he created two shades. One was of me and the other of a person who constantly changed. It was always a person I cared about, friends and family. The closer I was to them the worse their deaths by the shade that looked like me." He walks over and sits next to her, putting his hand on her shoulder.
-
she continues looking away "That's a nightmare... I don't know about you, but the worst came from the soldiers and guards..."

-
she stays quiet for a bit
-
He gets up and goes to his rucksack and digs around he produces two packages of rations. "Here you need to eat, you've lost a lot of blood. " He walks back and hands her one.
-
she takes it and starts eating it, keeping quiet
-
He breaks open the package and starts to eat. "Not exactly a five star diner, but I could be worse, it's better than what I grew up eating."
