I'd assume you just have to get a new exotic via in game drop and upgrade it.
Not ascend it.

ok man , but i have 3 guns with all upgrades and didn't receive

last time i respond to some ignorant comment since i got the trophy today by fully upgrading the vex i found.... u need an exotic which has the ascend node on the LEFT and ascend it and use a 2nd exotic shard on the last node as well only such weapon at the moment is the vex after the HoW release before the vex i tried obtaining the trophy by fully upgrading no land beyond, thorn, invective & hawkmoon none worked (obviously!)

Well at least you figured out your issue. Most people would have done that over half a year ago.

1. it's not "my" issue since the trophy is not awarded for upgrading EVERY exotic but just one 2. i started playing a month ago
