So, What stopped the Vex from coming to Earth?

Following the planets, starting from the Sun, The Vex seems to have a stronghold and a place of major importance for the Vex in every planet: - During the Collapse, The Vex transformed Mercury into a machine planet within days of their arrival. (I'm sure there's MORE in that planet besides The Lighthouse and Burning Shrine.) - They got a strong presence in Venus and even has their Time Conflux in VoG in Venus. However, Skipping Earth, - The Vex is on Mars, fighting The Cabals and had their Black Garden established there. So, why did the Vex skip Earth you reckon?
Or are they already here secretly hiding somewhere, dormant and waiting to be activated?
Edit 1: Mom! Get the Camera - We trending! Edit 2: It seems The Traveller and Rasputin are the winner so far followed by $20 for the Vex in Earth DLC. Edit 3: The picture is for illustration purpose only. It just seems like they were making their presence on planets starting from the Sun but decided to skip Earth...for now.

 • The simple answer: The Traveler prevents them. Destiny's story is a little underdeveloped and poorly conveyed, but even while the Traveler appears weak and useless, it acts as a buffer against the Darkness.
Dr. Shim shrugs. "I think the Traveler did something paracausal to Venus. Something that cut across space and time. The Citadel seems to come from the past of a different Venus than our own.
The Vex have been trying to alter space and time so that they are at the center of it, but the Traveler also has the power to work cross dimensionally and has prevented them from achieving their goal. We don't know if the Vex have always been in our solar system, or if with the advances of the Darkness, they placed themselves there by going back in time (my belief).
SUNDARESH: That's right. We bring in someone smarter than the specimen. Someone too big to simulate and predict. A warmind.
A Warmind like Rasputin does seem to be involved in an effort to help study and possibly combat the Vex, but this can hardly be seen as a frontline defense against them. Remember that the Vex are creatures of Darkness and worship the Darkness much like the Hive. They feed on the Light but the Light also holds some power over them. Hopefully we'll learn more with the release of the The Taken King, but for now many of the theories surrounding the Vex come from inferring (such as that the Traveler once made the Vex but they were corrupted).
