So I Pre-Ordered The Taken King Legendary Edition At Gamestop....

So today, seeing as how I had a bit of cash, and the cutoff for the Taken King pre-order DLC is drawing close, I decided to venture forth to my local GameStop and pre-order the XBox 360 standalone version and the $20 collector's pack thingy, so I could get my hands on those sweet new emotes and exotic items when the DLC drops. I asked the associate to hook me up, and after looking up the DLC, he told me it didn't exist for 360, but I could buy the Legendary edition on a disk for $60, and I'd still get everything I wanted. Now I don't have a car at the moment, so I had to walk in 90°F for almost an hour to get to the store. Needless to say I was not too happy that I had come all this way for nothing. "Fine," I told the associate, "I'll buy the game again, why not?" After all, it came with all the exotics and emotes, so it's all good, right? Well, after walking back home, and having a bit of time to think it over, I think I may have just bought the wrong thing. Does the legendary edition actually come with all the bonus items? Did I buy the wrong thing? And if I did, what exactly should I be looking for? I probably won't even be able to go back until Saturday, so what do I do in the meantime to insure that I have all the bonus stuff come September, or does the fact that I'm on the 360 mean I'm basically screwed and should just go get my money back? If someone, anyone, could please help, that would be pretty awesome. Thanks in advance, -Z

Hello, Try not to rage, but the legendary edition does not come with the emotes. That $20 deal will be available when TTK releases. The legendary edition includes Destiny, The Dark Below, The House of Wolves, and The Taken King.

    • Hey Z, I think that the GameStop employee was a bit ignorant on the subject. From what I can gather, you would be interested in the Collector's edition, which is $79.99. The Legendary edition only comes with the game and all three DLCs. However, I would hold off getting the Collector's Edition. The $20 pack will not be available until September 15, 2015. I hope I helped clarify. Source: https://www.destinythegame.com/taken-king/wheretobuy

      • You should just return that back to gamestop considering that bungie announced that the emotes and the other items except for the past DLCs and physical items will be available in the $40 edition of the taken King but it's just not available for Xbox since it was made mostly for playstation so it may take a bit longer before we can preorder the taken King for Xbox.

        • i just pre-ordered the legendary edition thinking it was collector's but the employee corrected me, Collector's is sold out sadly but i'm just gonna keep the pre-order, i mean it's $20 for the game and all the DLC (with the exception of TTK) i'm just gonna give my old copy to a friend (hopefully TDB and HoW are on a paper or receipt on purchase) and spend the extra $20 for the collector's items (maybe) either way, good deal

        • You didn't need to preorder anything. You can buy the Taken King DLC for $40 from the xbl market place when it becomes available. Same with the collectors content for a extra $20. But if you bought the "legendary" bundle all you got is the game, expansions 1&2 and ttk.
