BEFORE YOU READ THIS AND MAKE A TOXIC/RUDE STATEMENT:
I know why we cant have more vault space, I know Bungie told us its not possible because of last gen systems. Please keep your negative posts to yourself. Don't perpetuate the common conception that this Forum is full of Toxic assholes. I know this has been posted before, but Bungie still hasn't been able to figure it out that people really want more vault space.
]If you make a Toxic/rude reply, then you are not helping Destiny, but only hurting it by not embracing discussion of what can make the game we all love better.
BUT I figure the more we customers let Bungie know what we really would appreciate, then there is more of a chance they will get off their duffs and put their programmers to work fixing this glaring problem.
BEFORE YOU SAY: "JUST DONT HORDE YOUR WEAPONS, DELETE SOME OF THEM":
It's not just me, almost EVERY major game journalism site has said the same thing, so professional reviewers also see the need for more vault space. HoW introduced tons of new guns, with the need to have diffeent burn loadouts for PoE, introduced legendary re-rolls for guns, and TTK will introduce tons of new guns and armor. The need is real.
I really love this game, I'm not trying to complain. I would like to simply suggest that Bungie double down and figure this out. With a $500 million budget, I hope they can hire someone who can figure this out..
Then again, if they really did program themselves into a corner due to RAM limitations of last gen consoles.. THEN CUT THEM FREE so PS4/ONE players can get the real Destiny experience without being held back by last gen.
I remember the Destiny promotion developer vids saying each weapon will tell a story, each weapon will be like a part of your guardian... but now we are forced to "make hard decisions"<-- direct quote from Bungie developer recently
Again, I just want to stop having to regret deleting old guns or even new guns, as Bungie likes to rebalance guns so often, the ones you might have deleted because they "suck" now, might be the best guns later on, with no chance of ever getting them again or the perks those types of guns had.
If you really are so angry at this post for suggesting a common sense issue, then you have some anger issues that are separate from this game. I'lls ay it again: If you make a Toxic/rude reply, then you are not helping Destiny, but only hurting it by not embracing discussion of what can make the game we all love better.

now let's discuss this like adults.
thank you for reading this guardians.
2 RepliesIt may be a need for us players, but you have to understand IF Bungie sees it as a viable option to increase vault space. Since your items are stored on Bungie's servers in their hard drives, if you want to increase vault space, Bungie needs to upgrade its infrastructure accordingly (more servers isn't the only cost, you have to include cooling, electricity, maintenance, man power to manage the servers, etc). It comes down to a cost for Bungie. My guess, is that Bungie is making the vault space decision based on this: Is the number of players in Destiny too many, that we NEED to upgrade our infrastructure regardless, or do we want, with our current funding and player base, create new infrastructure and absorb the cost, just to satisfy this small player base. Regardless of what you think of Bungie, it still needs to make hard business decisions; those decisions might or might not be popular within the community.
