Hi FadgewackeR,
I wanted to let you know that we can confirm receiving two valid character deletion requests from your account on 06/28 at 01:45 (GMT-7).
Whether due to accidental deletion or unauthorized account access, we recognize how upsetting it is to lose the character and gear you’ve put time into.
We take reports of character deletion seriously and investigate cases of missing characters. In each instance we have investigated, missing characters have been the result of a manual deletion.
Bungie does not recover manually deleted characters or items.
If your character is missing and you did not personally request the deletion, please visit our Account Security Guide to help protect against unauthorized access: https://www.bungie.net/7_How-can-I-keep-my-account-safe/en/Help/Article/12718

With regards to the information that I have posted below, is your conclusion that I have intentionally deleted these characters myself? Do you think that the fact that my router was unable to accept incoming packets for a prolonged period, exactly at the time my characters were 'deleted', could point to some issue with data transmission that is likely the cause here? Please also consider my points on account security. Nothing points towards unauthorised access. Absolutely nothing. I can progress a security breach complaint with Sony for a log of IP address access history relating to that period to clarify if needs be. I can also request info from my ISP for my data usage graphs for that day, as the streaming from the PS4 will have been constant TV from the Sky app. You can clearly see the same latency profile at the end of the day as when the streaming was started in the am due to this running on all day. Once more, thanks for your original response and continued support. These situations where characters inexplicably disappear are quite rightly treated seriously.

FWIW re security measures. 1) I have never attempted to share play any game with anybody. Thought about it, but CBA 2) Only I have any access to the PS4. I live alone. 3) No 3rd party websites/apps used for Destiny (or any other game for that matter) apart from this one.

Edited by FadgewackeR: 7/13/2015 8:05:08 PMChecking my internet quality monitor reveals that packet loss to my router was 100% from the remote ping to it from 09:45 (gmt+1) on the 28th... Very odd. This coincides exactly with the deletion of the characters... [url=http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/share/c7c03fe3593ad5f929550c9ad5803b6e-28-06-2015.html /url] The fishy thing is, I was logged into PSN at that time, I was watching sky via the app, so how has somebody deleted my characters...? I'm pretty confused by this, I really am, as they would have had to log into destiny to delete the characters, wouldn't they? My account has had zero unauthorised activity via PS Store or any other means... I appreciate your reply. Do you have any way of telling what my characters last actions were by any chance?

Cheers. If the evidence points to something other than what I'm being expected to believe, gotta point it out.
