There is no known fix for the achievement/trophy as of this time. But I am sure bungie is alerted on the issue and will be working on a fix soon enough.
Sorry about the delay of your unlock, sit tight and check the weekly updates on bungie for information regarding your issue of addressed.

Same problem, I play games to get trophies and have maxed out 5 exotics so far, no packing heat yet, please address this glitch.

Bullshit !!! For the last 2 months players said that the switch profil is not working !!!!!!!!!!! Bungie will not fix it 'cause they will release a new extension so if we want that trophy we have to buy the extension for sure I won't, I'm done with bungie games... never again !!!!!!!

there is only one weapon that works, vex mythoclast so they could put it on sale (Xur) but i want a real fix and not to just depend on luck bungie is the opposite of alerted me & others as well have repeatedly opened threads or twitted them never got a response...

The Vex unfortunately is a Vault of Glass specific weapon so it cannot be sold. Recently the number of players experiencing the problems with unlocking the achievement has grown so I am sure they are alerted and possibly working on a fix for it soon enough. You can try upgrading other exotics if you have already and trying to see if that works. Have you tried the "switch profile" method for unlocking achievements before? In game go into your settings and switch profiles and sign back into your account and check your achievements. It worked in the past for unlocking achievements that have been stuck.

1. i m on ps3, no switching profiles in-game and yes i have upgraded 3 weapons already 2. i know vex is vog specific but they COULD put it on sale if they wanted some kind of solution.... 3. like i said me & lots of others have been reporting this all the time for a month now! we didn't get any response like "we are looking into it" or someting. Not a word means NOT A WORD!!!

I hope they fix the issue by sep 15th when the taken king DLC is release, they must release a patch or something to have the issue resolve, my friends are having the same problem after upgrading 3 exotic weapons and still not getting the trophy, :-(

i have 5 exotics and still no trophy, this is the last one i need for my platinum trophy its so irritating.
