That would be game breaking. For the sake of argument, lets say from a science-fictional point of view, if you could walk on the sun's surface, you would probably need special armor/shield equipped. However, that armor would make you virtually indestructible to everything else in the game (seeing that the sun is about 15,000,000 Celsius, I'm sure a wizard's kamehameha wave etc. won't come close). So that being said, if the environment can't kill you then what will? Think about it guy...

    Or maybe the solar subclass will grant fire immunity, considering you are literally covered in fire in all 3 variations.

    We could run with that I guess...BUT, if we're immune to fire due to our inherited subclasses then wouldn't we be immune to fire based damage weapons (Cabal armory etc.)? Edit: To literally get away with that, Bungie would have to exclude all fire-based enemies from that location and the occupied enemy will have to deal some other damage type. Also our solar based weapons would have to be useless against them, being that they can also survive the sun...
