During the Destiny Beta I believe there was an event that lasted about 2 or 3 hours where for the first time Guardians were allowed to set foot on the moon and explore it for all it's mystery before the launch of the game. That was one of the most awesome times in this game's history in my opinion and there was so much excitement around the event that I feel Bungie should do it again with the new Patrol area the Dreadnought. It would be so cool to get to explore the new location for an hour or so like the Beta to get a taste for the area and enemies to come and even to give those a bit more skeptical a chance to see what lies ahead in the future.
I'd appreciate it if you guys could vote and leave a comment to say what you think about this. Maybe I'm just chasing nostalgia but I think it'd be awesome.

1 ReplyWanting to see everything and rushing into content before it's released is why a lot of people complain about content. If we got the chance to see the Dreadnought before it's actually out, we would know where to go and what to do when the game comes out. Things will be done faster since we have previous knowledge and content will run out faster. What happens when content runs out to quickly? That's right, people complain and make statements like "This game sucks" or "I ran through it to quickly" Just wait for it to be released. I know, unavoidably, there will be people who do this anyways and complain non the less, but just wait it out and be surprised when it comes out.

it'd be cool, but I imagine we'll see it in a Twitch stream either way.
-
I feel like we won't even go to the Dreadnought immediately. Some story missions in existing areas will likely come before we get to go to Oryx's deathly fortress, anyways.

2 RepliesA little trip to Phobos would make more sense, because IT IS THERE.
-
we will have a lot of time to explore it afterwards :)
-
They can't open it up for that long, what will you play when it drops if they do? You know there's only a couple of hours of real content, the rest is more of the repetitious grind.
-
Aren't we still playing the beta?
-
dreadnought is to high up. id settle for phobos

1 ReplyThat was a pretty awesome day, but we forget why they did that. They had a big incentive to slam their servers in a very tight time frame. It was beta testing for their network and servers. It wouldn't benefit them much and they have enough hype/marketing.

18 RepliesNo, people would leak shit and glitch into secret areas

One last bump because I'm a wh0 re.

1 ReplyNo, because no matter what they do people will cry....let us real fans wait until the launch....
-
2 RepliesI don't think it's possible because the Dreadnaught isn't in the game yet. When you buy the DLC, it will appear most likely... However, in the beta, the Moon was already in the game. It was on the disc and ready to go. So all they had to do was click a button. They can't do that with the Dreadnaught because it not in the game yet. I could be wrong though. I think it would be cool for it to happen, but I just don't think it's possible :/
-
No. It would ruin the launch experience.
-
That's a great idea. I don't know how possible it is on bungie's end but it's rad.
-
5 RepliesAlso! The dreadnought is not part of a DLC it is part of an EXPANSION gosh.
-
1 ReplyJust release a trial/beta version with content. Dont let people glitch ahead. Just give the patrol area with nothing more
-
It would have to be like 30 mins or something because with couple hours there would be nothing left to explore

Edited by Portagaz D Natsu: 7/10/2015 2:08:43 AMThe moon was part of vanilla, Dreadnought is part of a DLC, that they are still cutting content from, so we have to wait.

Like the beta where we were allowed to see the moon for like 2 hours. Yeah it'll be cool
