if you play trials and have zero idea what KdA is, you have zero idea what youre talking about here.
KDA=KD in trials I cannot elaborate how critical of a stat that is.
Ive been to the light house pretty much every week, on pretty much all toons, if ive missed a toon, probably due to my real life, or work. Ive carried my weight, and ive bestowed weight amoung my trials team and I most recently have tried taking randoms to the lighthouse with zero communication, and I falter.
But coming from someone who can say that, I can say; ive never been carried, why? Because every single move I made, every single shot I put in, every nade that caught ablaze to the enemy, contributied to the kill//win. Unless youre walking out of trials with 15 kills + with 0 assist from your other two team mates, youve never carried anyone. You just finished the kill, or out played them correctly. Maybe you got to them before your other allies while they were body checking. You simply cannot 1v3 5/5 times, 9 times. You need a team, even if theyre just meat walls to you, their assist, their efforts; have taken you to the lighthouse.
This isnt a insult to anyome who is phenomenal at pvp(I feel as if im pretty damn gud with the exception of gun expirementing that ive been doing) but be honest with yourself and your team and friends, noone carries in trials. Its too team oriented for anyone to carry anything other than great plays with each other.
maybe im thinking too much about it, maybe im not.
Edited by hogs94: 7/7/2015 2:28:44 AMDon't bother constructively disagreeing with this guy. Turns out OP's a salty bitch who thinks his opinion is fact.
-
I don't think being carried means someone contributed absolutely nothing, I think it means if they were to play with other people of equal ability their chances of making it to the lighthouse would be slim
-
I've never carried/been carried because I played the first week and hated it, so I haven't played it since.
-
What is up guys. Prodigy here.

I see you telling people in posts how much more experienced you are than them with your 800k medal score lol gtfo. And why is it that the kids who wear the flawless emblems are always the shittiest ones who got carried to get the emblem in the first place? Yes, you got carried to get it with your less than 1 K/D. KA/D matters to a certain extent but not to the extent you're trying to convince people it does to make your pathetic .99 K/D (on one character not worth looking at other with one as bad as that) look better. Just accept your place low in the PvP food chain and quit trying to convince yourself and others you're anything but a below par player. The fact of the matter, and an important lesson you should learn, is that assists don't have to come with deaths. I get plenty of assists with good callouts and team shots, and you know what? I don't die every time I get an assist, hence my superior K/D. If you're dying on the majority of your assists you are obviously over exposing yourself and therefore are not an experienced player.

Edited by WileyOldPossum: 7/7/2015 3:49:41 PMI would love for someone to carry me to the lighthouse!!! If you would like please let me KNOW!!! For Real! I Would love you FOREVER! Ive not even gotten to play ToO yet due to know group to play with and my K/D is sitting at PHAT 0.60 or something close to that. I cant help it though Im a better team player than solo. I run and gun ALOT! Become the decoy for peeps that can snipe or come in from behind and wreck the other guys. I roll with Alpha lupi so I can invis and RES QUICK! I get kills usually double digits worth in Iron Banner every map But I just also Die a lot. Sometimes I go on a tear others I get torn up. Its just what happens to me in PVP! lol. But if you want to help me in ToO Id love to have a team to at least experience that part of the game with

I felt like I was carried I tried I had my clutches that saved us from loosing just wish I wasn't so bad that week I went trials.

I got to the lighthouse this weekend just gone. Week in, week out I've gotten gold tier package but always had a loss. Felt really good to get there, I feel like I earned it.

Edited by Zsvnami: 7/7/2015 3:26:32 PMCarry ppl on the forums with negative k/d's all the time.. ever heard of "wrecking ball"? Also, my second most earned medal in ToO is "never say die"... lot of 1v3's There is such a thing as teamwork but there also is such a thing as carrying as well
-
Edited by GDUB-_-: 7/7/2015 2:53:49 PMI play with ppl equal to my skill every week only missed the lighthouse once so you're argument is invalid and my kd is a 1 and I think it's the same in ToO
-
I am an average crucible player with just 1+ k/d, I have been at the lighthouse once, only for grimoire score. In my experience, you need a solid team, know very well the map, be ready for a lot of stress and some luck to encounter only average teams. I personally enjoy crucibles, a lot, and iron banner, but ToO is a lot different, not for everyone. Not for me.
-
Ive never even seen the lighthouse. I've mostly given up on trial do to the amount of lag switches
-
Someone explain kd/a to me...
-
But you can definitely win 2vs3 5/9 times for 9/10 times if you're good enough. All aspects of the game are important.. Some more important than others. 2 good players and 1 shitty one can easily go to the lighthouse. Carrying isn't only about kills. It's about walking the 3rd guy through everything. A meat shield is not as important as the guy getting all of the kills. People can be carried. I think your analysis took it to the extreme
-
I've never been carried. Ever. I haven't had a single teammate get a kill in ToO.
-
True words, well spoken!
-
This post made me happy.
-
So...was there a point to this post? Were you looking for a cookie or something?
-
-
Lol all you do is get carried.
-
I'll get there, on my own, when the ToO meta doesn't suck ass.

Even if yoy not the one who puts the final bullet in to take down to opponent, you still get the assist and it is crucial to body check together to wipe out the team. Wothout Good communication a great team can be wiped out by players who Arn't as skilled. This is why I only run with my clan mates i.e. the person who wrote this post solidus (good job on the post)

Carrying doesn't mean you got all the kills while the carried person got none. Carrying means pulling a player through that's not pulling his/her own weight. The reason you can't help randoms through is because seeing from your KD in trials, you're getting carried through most of the time, so you need two good teammates. Sure you make callouts and give assists. But you're dying more than you're killing in a gamemode where the objective is to kill enemies and not die putting extra weight on your teammates which they need to carry.

People need to start worrying about themselves
