Quite the opposite.
Destiny is one of those games where there is an obvious line in the sand that separates the Hardcore from the Casual.

you mean that hardcore gamer quit the game and casual keep playing it?
-
before ToO there was no line.. nowhere.

I presume your are on PS4 since I see the Playstation logo next to your profile. Have you checked your Destiny Trophies recently? How many Destiny players got to Vanguard rank 3, fully mastered 1 of the 3 classes, earned the maximum weekly Vanguard/Crucible score, have legendary gear or better in every slot, competed a Raid, completed a Raid flawlessly? There's your line between the Casual and the Hardcore.

Hmm i guess thats more like the line between the people who play and who quit before reaching the level to do so.. =) check the "fully levelled a legendary" trophy. i cant see how a guy that played further could evade this completely even without raiding..=)
Hmm i guess thats more like the line between the people who play and who quit before reaching the level to do so.. =)
Because Destiny is not half as Causal friendly as the OP ( or you ) think it is. Once a lot of Casuals finish the story and hit lv.20 most of them hit a wall and have no idea what else they are supposed to do. Acquiring the marks ( vanguard/crucible/faction ) necessary to buy Legendary is a slow and painful slog. RNG is brutally unforgiving especially on the lower level Strikes ( spend 20 minutes in a single Strike, die a lot and enjoy you shitty rare loot with worse stats than what own already have and your 2 Vanguard marks, only another 38 Strikes before you can afford your first piece of legendary armour, not that the game actually tells you this is what you are supposed to do ). Want to buy a Legendary weapon at 150 Vanguard marks a pop ( that's 75 Vanguard Viper Strikes ). Sure none of this I a wall to casual players. Heck most Destiny players don't even visit this site or have the app so as far as they are concerned this game has no story.
