This week, I'm unable to play until Friday, and many of the people I would do nightfall with won't be willing to run it again. I have seen very detailed videos on soloing Phogoth with solar and void burn, and I feel equipped enough to do it. I trust my skill, but I'm wondering if anyone else has successfully soloed this weeks nightfall, if they have any advice, and if I would be able to do it based on my skill level (mid skill to high skill.)
Also, does completing nightfall solo award the trophy for completing a strike with only your clan members?
Edit : Thanks guys, I'm really confident in my ability to solo but the amount of people who are willing to help me is flattering. Since I have to run nightfall on two characters, I'll solo on my warlock and run it on my Titan with some of you guys.
Edit : I'm on PS4 : shammshine, send a friend request now and I'll pick it up later in the week

4 RepliesIts really easy and I don't typically solo nightfalls. I'd say the most difficult part is the first room with the 3 waves. As long as you hang back in the hallway though you're pretty safe and can pick off the ads as they trickle towards you. The wizards might chase you back up the stairs, but can be dealt with quickly if you have a solar rocket or sniper (I used galley/blackhammer). Same goes for the second room; snipe the ogre and yellow bar knight and sprint to the boss. Once you get to phogoth, you can take him out by peeking in and out of the doorway while shooting rockets/snipers and occasionally backpedaling away from the shrieker if needed. Just be careful of the ads that spawn in near the door way, especially if you're shooting rockets. My load out: word of Crota, blackhammer/icebreaker, gally/hunger of crota
