Congratulations! That is the weapon to have these days, and I salute you on your victory in the trials!
I also love the high impact pulse's. Personally however, I prefer Three Little Words over the Messenger.
The weapons have pretty identical stats and perks, right down to the third eye, headseeker, and a recoil reducing perk.
The difference is that 3 little words recoils straight up, but only slightly. This makes it SUPER easy to land one in the chest and two in the head, regularly activating the headseeker perk a maximum percentage (2/3's) of the time.
The Messenger doesn't recoil at all, which normally is AWESOME. But it wastes the headseeker perk. All three rounds land in such a tight grouping, that they all hit head or not -either way the perk does nothing a vast majority of the time.
If Messenger had glass half full, or full auto, it would be a monster. Its still a really solid weapon, but I feel like the headseeker holds it back.

Three Little Words was my crucible weapon since the pulse rifle buff. Sooo good. And I agree with your stability observation 100%. Still, that rock stability on the Messenger is crucial in a 1v1 firefight. I've went back and forth a few times to really decide which is best. For my play style, Messenger takes it. Plus Void burn ;)

I wonder, is more damage inflicted with a body shot and two head shots modified by headseeker? Or is more damaging to land all three head shots with unmodified crits?

Edited by Reverted: 6/30/2015 4:13:10 PM3 headshots do more than one to the chest and 2 headshots. Without the perk headshots are 38 with it they do 41. Body shots are like 26 so the extra 3 you get from a body shot first is still less than just headshots.

I gotcha, that is a smidge more damage.
