Whilst this is true, it's ultimately a strawman argument. People have already invested into Destiny and would be happy to continue to do so for as long as the pricing of future content is fairly priced. A more productive solution would be pricing which is far less based on greed and not pricing your install base out of the content entirely.

No, it's a very simple solution. You want to take a stand? Hit them in the wallet.
Otherwise, people should just admit that they are addicted to this game and are going to buy it anyways. They also have the option of waiting after release for the price to drop, but again they are addicted and want to play it now. This is exactly what Bungievision wants and is counting on.
Until sales drop, they have literally no reason to change anything. It's that simple...
