Well, the basis of being a furry is someone who is fascinated by anthropomorphic characters and who associates themselves with the furry fandom. It's just a fandom, so outside of that, really they just do what everyone else does. Inside the fandom, we have artists, writers, animators, and a bunch of other creative types of people. We also have people who just enjoy making new friends. Furries like to rp a lot, and most have "fursonas" which are anthropomorphic versions of themselves. But none of that is necessarily required to be a furry. For those who have transportation and can afford it, they often attend Furry conventions, which are basically just like any other conventions, like anime conventions or gaming conventions. Although they cost a fair amount, some people choose to wear fursuits, and I guess you could say they are like freelancing mascots. Another popular activity of furries is going to furmeets, where they basically just go and eat at a restaurant or bar and hang out. For some reason, bowling tends to be one of the more popular activities. My personal favorite thing about the fandom is the community. I've made many good friends, and they have assisted in pulling me out depression several times. They've always been there for me to get through the hard times. I hope that answer suits you ^_^ Sorry that it was so long.
