What does minimum wage have to do with anything? I buy something from overseas, (maybe something on eBay for example) and the price conversion based on the dollar is made, I pay my money and make my purchase, why should this be any different?

Buying directly from an overseas source is different then buying through an Australian based supplier.

If I'm buying something online from the Sony Playstation Store isn't that the overseas supplier? The only thing that would change the price is tax, and steam doesn't tax in Australia so I would assume it means the same for the Playstation Store? Could be wrong on that but even if it was taxed base of the Australian GST it wouldn't add up

This is something people debate often. To be honest I don't understand how the PS and Microsoft stores justify there prices. If you were to go to EB games or another physical retailer then it makes sense that pricing would be based on costs here in aus (ie suppliers, shipping etc). But they're charging the same, if not more for digital content.

Hmm, if you changed your location to an American PSN or Xbox would you be able to see the proper price conversion (assuming tax isn't applied through there that is)?

Did you learn anything about the economy?

Yeah, It has nothing to do with this. Balancing cost is fine but this is the balanced price plus extra. Although I don't care about that, I'll still pay it because I enjoy the game and I think it's still a fair price for how many hours I get out of it. What I have a problem with is the principle of thinking it is ok to try and sneak the extra under the rug and deceive consumers based off geographic location
