Can someone explain why they're hyped for this? I'm not being a dick I'm genuinely curious. It looks really boring to me

I guess to each his own. I like the exploration element, and just knowing every planet is different, and we have to explore and entire galaxy. Also, the massive scale along with everyone being on one server is interesting to me. Also, I enjoy the space and planet combat, as well as gathering materials to purchase ships, suits, and weapons

Edited by ShingetsuMoon: 6/27/2015 5:28:48 PMThe game does have a bit of a story and objective as well as the option to engage in space battles, crafting and buying different ships and weapons. But the overall "point" of the game is discovery and exploration. The scale of the game is mind blowing. Even with millions of players it's possible that every planet in the game may never be seen. For some that level of scale and exploration is exciting while others may want a more action driven game instead of one that's a bit more laid back.

Kind of makes you think of minecraft. No Man's sky is pretty much a "make your own adventure" type of game.kinda like minecraft and the producer of NMS uses the same system. The fact that it has 18 quintillion planet-sized planets to explore is mind blowing. It's HUGE! And i really do like the space theme to it as well. That is a game i can see myself playing for hours on end.
