Considering how much it costs in Australia it looks they've already started doing that there cobber.

Now the only people that call us Pom's are the Aussies, so from that comment, I'm deducting that's what you are, so I'll give you a small history lesson... Poms, are Brits, but they are your decendants. The word "POM" means Prisoner Of Milbank. Prisoners Of Milbank were thieves, rapists and murderers, and were deported to Australia as banishment from our fine and noble country. They then proceeded to pillage the land of the Aborigines and claim it for there own. So the likely hood is your decendent's were in fact rapist and murderers and the Aussie accent is reminiscent of a 16th Century Convict... So glad I could clear that up for you... You're very welcome

I think you will find it mean Prisoner Of her Majesty, im pretty sure you're just upset because we keep schooling you at the cricket AND the rugby :-)
-
And Rugby, we won the World Cup in our day, before last year, you lost the ashes regular... But neither sport I'm interested in Football... Or Soccer... Is the sport I follow and you're shit at that too

Edited by dunkly: 6/30/2015 12:00:32 PMSoccer isn't a sport, its grown men running around a pitch for 90 minutes, sometimes without even scoring, every now and again one of them falls over in the hope of receiving a penalty, this is rinsed and repeated until someone dies of boredom. Also, on the pom thing i found this on yahoo answers; Pommy The term Pommy for a British person is commonly used in Australian English, New Zealand English and South African English and Afrikaans Speakers, and is often shortened to Pom. The origin of this term is not confirmed and there are several persistent false etymologies. So while your story was cute, im going to have to dismiss it as unfounded and total hearsay.

And FYI soccer IS a sport... The most heavily followed, and world wide televised sport there is... Wrong again... Silly POM
-
Think you'll find its fact... Coming from a long line of Freeman of the River Thames, it was my ancestors that used to cart your convict ancestor away via boat You're wrong
-
Yes, any sport you are shit at isn't a real sport!!!!!!
cricket is terrible but I don't dismiss it smh
Google it... It's Prisoner Of Milbank... I'm a Captain Of A Boat on the Thames, I know my history. “…Millbank Prison, which was basically a holding centre for prisoners waiting to be transported off to Australia. On the back of their standard issue prison jackets were the initials P.O.M. which was “Prisoners of Millbank”, and when they ended up in Australia, the Australians waiting at the other end would say “here’s another POM”. The presenter affirms this by repeating that “So the term “Poms” comes from this place; “Prisoners of Millbank”. Again... So glad I could clear that up... Convict

That would surely be POHM then.
