I just sent this to Watchdog (the BBC programme):
Activision and Bungie, the companies behind the game, Destiny are charging $40 in the U.S. for downloadable content coming in Sept. In the UK, the very same product is being sold at £40 (which works out to roughly $63). As this is DLC, I can't see any problems with shipping and even taxes etc shouldn't warrant a price over 50% higher.
This is not the only DLC that the companies are overcharging for.
There are many many posts on Bungie's official forums about this issue and the company refuses to respond.
Here is one post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/132740363/0/0
There are 100's more like this and there is a petition on change.org which has thousands of signatures.
Please help the UK players do something about this or, like many undesirable gaming company policies, this will become the norm. It's companies like this that caused the gaming crash in the 80's
Regards,
G
Here's the link to submit your own complaint, the more they get, the higher the chance of them doing something about it. They just got Sony to change policies on hacked PS4 accounts, they can fight this injustice too.
