What if I had a shot package and linear compensator? It seems to match up to the other shotguns' range

Edited by Creepeth: 6/26/2015 5:14:36 PMOn the biggest hitting shotguns, the range cap is reached with just reinforced barrel. So you don't really need to fret about the muzzle with these. Agg Ballistics is probably ideal to help against shielded and enemies using supers, but as long as the muzzle doesn't hurt the weapon, you should be fine. The impact is already huge on all these shotguns that agg ballistics is going to just provide unnecessary/excessive impact in most situations. On these big three, as long as you can maintain range cap, Shot package and reinforced barrel should be your priorities. A long winded way of saying, you should be fine with linear compensator.

Watching this video makes rangefinder seem like the much better option. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mHYSPFDyyLs

Thanks man, that's great to hear. I rolled a party crasher with linear compensator, shot package, rifled barrel and rodeo. Kinda wanted luck in the chamber for the last one but hey, it's still a definite upgrade from my old found verdict

yeah, rodeo is more an autofire build-type of thing, but I truly think the final perk is just bonus. At least you have enough of the perks to get an idea of whether you will like the weapon, or not. If you find yourself loving, then you can spend more motes to get the god-roll before you ascend it for the Iron banner.

Hahaha nah man. Already blew the motes on the helmet engrams earlier... Figure I'll probably only go crazy when the matador finally drops :)

ROFL. Motes are like gold in destiny right now. I hear ya man. Same boat here.
