If you think the UK (and other countries) price should be the equivalent in pounds as it is in US dollars sign below. I'm sure most UK players would be happy with a price around £30. I paid £40 for the full game and now I'm having to pay £40 for The Taken King, which has much less content. Why?!
Hopefully we can get enough signatures and Bungie will then address the issue by reducing the UK price or explaining why we are being BLATANTLY ripped off in the UK and other non-US countries. Have they not heard of exchange rates?!
Please sign/bump if you agree.......
Please like the post too so it moves up in the trending section so we get more signatures....
Edit 1: Thanks to the US gamers signing too! Camaraderie at its best!
Edit 2: change.org petition is here - https://www.change.org/p/bungie-activision-price-destiny-fairly-in-the-uk

FWIW, signed. £30 is a reasonable price - well, high-end of reasonable, but something I think is "fair" based on the US price.
-
Signed. I'm ok with £27.99. Not £40. It's taking the fecking piss.
-
$40 is just over £25 pounds. For people in the US who read this, you're paying $40 and we're paying roughly $63.
-
Just get over it. Britain gets whacked with price increases all the time. Look at the iPhone, u can buy one sim free for $400 in America or for £599 here, clearly when u convert £599 to dollars it's a LOT more than the yanks pay. It sucks that we pay around £600/£700 return to fly the east cost with BA/Virgin, but on average the yanks pay $400/$500 to get to London from the east coast. We're not called rip off Britain for nothing!
-
Technically the stores could change those prices themselves, but why would they if the site even suggests the higher price. Just no good excuse for it. Signed

you have my support
-
Signed, its daylight robbery. Even if you add VAT a 40 dollar product should be around 30 pounds not 40. I won't buy until I have an explanation. Other companies can figure out exchange rates, why not bungie/Activision?
-
signed, its bullshit we are expected to pay the equivalent of around $20 extra compared with the USA I doubt they will change it though
-
Signed it is ridiculous that we are forced to pay extra just because we live in another country.
-
Signed in belgium its €40. That's not fair either!

The original £27.99 would be alot better and im pritty sure everyone would be willing to pay that price and stay on board with destiny.
-

2 RepliesEdited by Intron: 6/26/2015 10:38:47 AMsee i am UK and i am not even going to bother with trying to appeal to get the price changed. my wife paid £35 for the DLC season pass just over a month ago for me. For 2 DLC's to only find out she could have saved her self that £35 and traded destiny in for at least £10 to pick up TTK for £45 digital edition giving me both Destiny and the season pass to play right now and TTK on release. I am pissed that my wife sorted me out this gift and bungie devalued it almost immediately. I cant really articulate to my wife that the DLC pack she just got for me effectively comes free now if she had waited a month and bought me the new instalment of the game instead. ill pass on getting the TTK unless it pops up cheap pre owned just out of principle. The only way i am going to get it is if it can actually deliver on the promise of a £40 game. which is what Fallout4 is at £42 and Battlefront 3 is. From reading the released information its not even going to come close. Ive got my moneys worth out of destiny and ill get my moneys worth from the DLC's but TTK its just that reach too far for me.

I agree, Bungie's silence on this is....

Bump that bump
-
I'm going to assume the "conversion rate" guy in Bungie offices is the same guy writing the story, because they are both a -blam!-ing shambles.
-
Even 35£ is fine. 40 is just way too much.
