If you think the UK (and other countries) price should be the equivalent in pounds as it is in US dollars sign below. I'm sure most UK players would be happy with a price around £30. I paid £40 for the full game and now I'm having to pay £40 for The Taken King, which has much less content. Why?!
Hopefully we can get enough signatures and Bungie will then address the issue by reducing the UK price or explaining why we are being BLATANTLY ripped off in the UK and other non-US countries. Have they not heard of exchange rates?!
Please sign/bump if you agree.......
Please like the post too so it moves up in the trending section so we get more signatures....
Edit 1: Thanks to the US gamers signing too! Camaraderie at its best!
Edit 2: change.org petition is here - https://www.change.org/p/bungie-activision-price-destiny-fairly-in-the-uk

3 RepliesDamn this is really stupid I live in the U.S. And 40$ is already a scam and now it's almost 50$ for the same thing overseas..... It's just doesn't make sense

19 RepliesEdited by SpLiX74: 6/27/2015 9:34:56 AMDude, relax. Swedish cost for the pre-order for the taken king is 799kr, that's 90 us dollars. So, whine all you want. I don't feel sorry for you at all.. https://store.playstation.com/#!/sv-se/spel/destiny-the-taken-king-digital-collector's-edition/cid=EP0002-CUSA00568_00-DESTINYTAKENKICE?et_cid=em_205280&et_rid=50493006&Linkid=article1URL_2

$80 is £50, wtf bungie

Signed, I agree with paying taxes etc but not greed and being openly ripped off

2 RepliesWe have over 450 signatures on this petition now. If every one of those people didn't buy the dlc that would cost Bungie/Activision £18k. Could probably easily multiply that by a factor of 10 for people that think the same but have not commented here, so that's £180k. They will have to take note or at least give us a response the more signatures we get and the more it could potentially cost them. Spread the word. Equal pricing for all!!

I agree, I know we aren't the only ones with a higher price so if bungie is going to make us pay even more for destiny content at least make it the same price for everyone Signed.

Compared to the cost of a new game, £40 for DLC is a lot when it doesn't require the development of a new engine, will probably reuse a lot of existing assets and will not contain as much content as a full game. Why are we paying around $60 for the same digital content that cost the US gamers $40. £35 would have been easier to accept and still a markup for profits. It's difficult, because if you want to continue to play Destiny with your friends and the majority of them get it, you don't have a lot of choice and Activision know this. Will I get Pound per hour value out of it, most probably. Does that make the £40 price right for this content, no it doesn't. So even if we don't agree with it and end up paying this overpriced cost for this DLC to be able to carry on having fun with friends, Activision will continue to charge high prices for DLC, because they can. Rock and a hard place.

2 RepliesGeorge Washington fought for independence so we didn't have to care about the UK's prices

I agree 100% -blam!- YOU BUNGIE

1 ReplyEdited by Oxide: 6/27/2015 2:59:32 PMYea I didn't care about 20$ but when it is 40$ that's to much for you guys when 1 pound is 1.25$ in U.S. Dollars so that goes over the amount of what it actually costs Cost and extra 10&$

I will sign this simply because the day TTK was announced it was on sale for £28.99 which I presume is the correct exchange rate but the one or two days later it was up to £39.99. So WTF come on give us the correct exchange rate. I do know some people bought it at the lower rate, I wish I had now.
