How do you feel about the price of TTK DLC being £40 = $62.79 I simply cannot understand it. Why do we have to pay an extra $22.79 for a digital download?!
$40 = £25.55, add the 20℅ VAT the UK pays, and you are at £30.66 Not £40.
They have valued TTK at $40, not the price of a full game which is $60. Yet over here in the UK its valued at £40, which is the price of a full game. (Fallout 4 will be £42)
I bought Destiny brand new at release for £41.99, now they want £40 for TTK. It doesn't have as much content as vanilla Destiny did, so how can they charge the same price?
I know there any many more currencies affected, I'm just using it as its my currency.
Another point to make is, the day TTK was announced for purchase on the Xbox store it was £27.99 ($43.53) After 24 hours they bumped it to £40.
Can we at least get some answers please Bungie/Activision?
Thanks for reading, Remo.

Just throw some money at the screen Usually solves everything
-
I'm not too fussed I personally can't wait
-
Id throw money at the screen just for the new raid.

Same reason CDs and petrol are priced the way they are in the UK. Our government are a parcel of rogues.

3 RepliesNobody never told you to buy it... You can play Destiny without ttk... You can buy a game for 40£ and you can find it boring, or you can buy a dlc for Destiny if you like the game, because you know already what the game is about and you know you will enjoy it...

Partly because stuff is not the same price in different places, it isn't as straight forward as using an exchange rate. Different tax systems, different wages, different economies there are a whole host of reasons. However, a better comparison is the ttk vs the original purchase price for the game in each location, which is also very high for the uk. Buuuuut, whatever I'll buy it anyway. If you don't think it's worth £40 then don't buy it, pretty simple really, just supply and demand. If you really want it, but think £40 is too much, but buy it anyway, then you actually must think it is worth it....

2 RepliesLearn your exchange rates. 40$ is cure Renton around 44 of that currency(can't type it on my phone). Go to Google finance or yahoo and find the current exchange rate.

3 RepliesThis place isn't known as "Rip off Britain" for nothing. Stuff like this has been happening for ever, doesn't make it right though and you never know all the complaining might have some effect. I'm probably part of the problem though as I've ordered the physical TTK Collectors edition.
-
2 RepliesI feel pretty fine about it. :/
-
4 RepliesTop tip: 1. Switch locale to US. 2. Buy TTK. 3. ??? 4. Profit (a £14 one!) Also for anyone wondering, I've looked around and no, there have been no reported banning cases due to this on both Xbox and play station.

3 RepliesOverseas taxes, it is that simple... :/ and it is not just uk. It is the whole eu.
-
1 Replymaybe a lot of destiny-players are from the uk? Cash-Cow-System
-
4 RepliesDestiny+dlc1+dlc2+TTK=£42. Off amazon. Lol what?
-
2 RepliesLooking at the debt we're in it's probably the difference in exchange rate of the U.S. currency... Or you're just getting shafted, either way it sucks
-
vanilla destiny wasnt even a full game what makes you think a dlc which consists of less content equals a full game - theyre taking the piss a little too much here

You can tell a lot by the silence over the issue at first it could be just a mistake an oversight . Now that time and the deafening silence over the issue have passed . Message to paying customers is we don't give a f eck what you think you are mugs who will buy our poor content at inflated prices and like it .

3 RepliesEdited by Excession_uk: 7/11/2015 9:40:06 AMI used to have about ten random friends and about 15- 30 UK clan friends playing destiny every evening. Now there are 1 or 2 from the clan on. Well done bungie, between your shitty overseas price policy and your poor communication to your community you've effectively killed off this game, at least as far as my clan is concerned. They all (my self included) got pretty poor milage from the HoW and that coupled with a looming £40!! Dlc and its pretty much finished our little destiny community.

The price is it what is. I'll be buying it no matter what it costs in other countries
-
108 RepliesWho -blam!-ing cares. Quit bitching about it because it's not going to change anything. If you can't afford £40 get a fooking job.
-
I'm not buying it. Too many good games coming out anyway, for that price I can buy a new one.
-
2 RepliesIt's probably a government issue they have to include VAT and import duty. Does seem unfair though
-
Bungie?
-
If I lived on the UK I would definatly not buy it,this must be a priceing error,I know Activision is greedy but this is absurd. Your paying 50% more than the rest of the world if noone in the UK preorders they'll get the message and lower the price before launch. Yet another controversie surrounding Destiny, are they doing it on purpose?
-
Already brought it, I find that I play this game alot and I enjoy it. Say what you like but nothing will change.

I am a day 1 player and I play daily but for me this crosses the line ... To those saying tax and transporting etc I disagree 25% tax are u crazy? I think I'm finally done with destiny now as I can't justify paying that price ... Spend my time on witcher, eso and fallout when it's finally released but I'm especially excited for Tom Clancy the division

5 Replies1100 hours, all gear and weapons. Never purchasing anything bungie related or activision related ever again. If everybody did as myself and others who see that we're being taken for fools, the world would be better. I only come here to support posts like this now peace
