How do you feel about the price of TTK DLC being £40 = $62.79 I simply cannot understand it. Why do we have to pay an extra $22.79 for a digital download?!
$40 = £25.55, add the 20℅ VAT the UK pays, and you are at £30.66 Not £40.
They have valued TTK at $40, not the price of a full game which is $60. Yet over here in the UK its valued at £40, which is the price of a full game. (Fallout 4 will be £42)
I bought Destiny brand new at release for £41.99, now they want £40 for TTK. It doesn't have as much content as vanilla Destiny did, so how can they charge the same price?
I know there any many more currencies affected, I'm just using it as its my currency.
Another point to make is, the day TTK was announced for purchase on the Xbox store it was £27.99 ($43.53) After 24 hours they bumped it to £40.
Can we at least get some answers please Bungie/Activision?
Thanks for reading, Remo.

1 ReplyIs there not an EU law which says you cannot charge people more for the same stuff in different countries inside EU. Can we not buy from the french store

6 RepliesWe get -blam!-ed over by tax

7 RepliesDistribution costs and tax. The digital version is exempt from the above but the physical versions are not. Meaning the physical versions would be more expensive than their counterpart. Meaning physical would sell LESS than digital. Physical includes collectors edition which is valued at more and so probably creates more revenue in total if you value both physical and digital version at the same price.

1 ReplyEdited by Praius: 7/27/2015 1:22:18 AMYeah UK is getting ripped off here, you don't need to look at the exchange rate to notice that, just the price of another game in US/UK store. What really gets to me as well is this isn't it for year 2. This content won't last a year (tbh, probably won't last a month) and you can bet on more overpriced expa-- *cough* DLC coming. But this time, we didn't get a chance to get it beforehand meaning you're gonna have to fork out even more to get your full year 2 experience. Or maybe they'll release it for free(!) lol.

1 ReplyIm not leaning over a barrel ass cheeks spread for this blatent rip off. Boycott this and they will soon start listening if the profits are down.

Why does everyone think that the publishing or development company can directly change the retail price of the game? Not that I think it's fair that the foreign rate is higher for some reason. I don't think Activision did anything differently then they did for the other releases of this game. I doubt their foreign sales team would jack up the price to have it raised by such a significant amount. If they could change the price directly then we'd be buying from them. The same incident happened with the napal relief effort. Yet the teams then did take shipping and what not into effect because they didn't or couldn't have it made and shipped locally across the world. But since this was from them directly that were at least able to change the price, maybe the package too I really don't remember, within a week or so for people outside the US.

2 RepliesImport duty and vat. US sales tax is on average 9% UK VAT rate is 20%. UK import duty depends on the value of the goods. For a single item less than 600 sterling it's not a big deal but for a million units it is. All this is factored in the price you end up paying. Don't like it.. then vote.

1 ReplyIts an absolute travesty that you guys are getting -blam!-ed like that.

4 RepliesThis is on Amazon. I only quickly read it as I'm a bit busy, but I'm pretty sure that's all of Destiny's content, vanilla/TDB/HoW/TTK for just £47 quid. I know it's not the stand alone dlc, but it's a good deal. Otherwise I'm not too bothered about the price tag. I'll still be getting it :-)

3 RepliesEdited by The Evil Dice: 7/19/2015 12:45:35 AMBump There really is no way they have not seen any of the threads complaining about the non US price now... They just don't give a shit... WTF happened to Bungie? If money's that important to them they may as well quit the games industry and start making porn... They'd probably be good at it seeing as though they're so good at shafting their community. By this point I'm not even angry, I'm disappointed... Bungie is gone.

1 ReplyJust don't give them your money then. Move on an find another game.

3 RepliesGovernment laws and sh*t dude. It sucks yes but its pretty much the same situation for a large portion of games, not all games but a large portion

3 RepliesTo be honest, I still can't find the standalone expansion here in Australia (I think it would be priced around $69 or so though). So we have the legendary edition or the collector's edition. Legendary - $99.95 AU = $73.91 US Digital/Collector's Edition - $119.00 AU = $88.00 US.
