Your absolutely right. The lack of content in this game has been upsetting since its initial release. There will always be people who make excuses (it's only the beta). However, the proof is there and it's obvious from Luke's interview that they are satisfied with what they are delivering. Those of us who are not satisfied have some decisions to make. I enjoy playing Destiny, but I'm not sure I'm willing to throw my money at the screen any longer.

They are still saying it's only a beta

Hey.. I have a new forum post today with a new video, would love your thoughts/support. / https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/136984130

Do you really expect the lead designer to say that his work isn't worth the price set for it? No one would. Get real bud.
-
I would expect a lead designer to talk about the content when defending it or even just attempting to establish its value. Luke Smith does not do that.
-
He did, he brought up the different game modes and subclasses. He is bound by bungie and Activision to not tell you everything that is in TTK and I don't think you understand that
-
I understand your point. He was undoubtedly limited in what he could say. Unfortunately looking at Bungies track record with this game it follows a disturbing trend. Where they are silent it is generally followed up by disappointment due to lack of content. Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but there are many who feel this way.
-
I agree with you that there has been a lack of content 100%. But thats not really on him. He creates the raids and the vault is hands down the best piece of the game. He was rude in his comments but he was put in a situation by the interviewer that made him react like that. And he just called himself an asshat so people should really cut him some slack
-
I don't think the point of this post or the video was to have Luke lynched. It was more of a concern about Bungies approach to its content and its customers. It seems to be more of a systemic problem rather than an individual.
-
Than you (not you individually) cannot take one interview from a developer, being asked questions about pricing, and say that the whole company has an issue about doing things. The whole thing has been blow out of proportion because of the toxic community we are in.
-
I agree the community is toxic (though this exchange demonstrates some civility). There are two camps. One almost wants to see Bungie fail. The other will blindly swallow whatever scraps Bungie throws them. You and I find ourselves with the silent majority who rest somewhere in the middle. I enjoy the game, but I find myself questioning its value as a consumer. It's certainly not what I hoped it would be in August of last year, but I can't say it's been terrible at all. This interview was just the spark that lit a powderkeg that's been around for some time. I think the point is it personifies some attitudes that seem to prevail at Bungie. Are they bad people? No more so than anyone else I imagine. However, it's how their approach fits with their player base that's disconcerting. Wether you agree or not it's obvious that something Bungie is doing is upsetting their players. I admit this fan base can be full of whiny lunatics, but we aren't all that way.
