The biggest issue I have with this is that unhealthy food and drinks should not be promoted. I don't want to buy Red Bull, much less drink it. But a new mission or xp boost? Sounds good.
Red Bull is poison in a can, even banned from a few European countries. Everyone would throw a fit if the promotion was for tabacco or alcohol. Kinder eggs are even banned from the US because the toys are an incentive to buy chocolate. I don't see how this is any different.
........we'll help Nepal, but at the same time slowly kill off our customer base through clever marketing and merchandising. Bad move in my book, anyway.

Agreed
-
You said "clever." Bungie wins
-
Totally agree with you about health. But, I get the promotion team up. Red Bull and gaming are tied together like RB and extreme sports. I will pick up a can hell it's only 3$.
-
I know!! Why cant the deal be with Aquafina or something lol
-
You cant promote tobbaco anymore. It has been outlawed
-
Kinder eggs are banned because there are small toys embedded in the chocolate, not because it's incentive to buy chocolate. Lol
-
If you don't want to drink it, then don't. You can also just use the code and throw the drink away. Else you'll get it at the start of 2016
-
I know, but that is not the point I was trying to make. I will absolutely wait until January to play the mission. It's just that I strongly disagree with the way this is marketed.
-
It's being done all the time. Doritos, monster, red bull, mountain dew. Also pretty dumb that kinder eggs are banned. Are happy meals banned too?
-
Actually they are, I believe, at least in some states/countries.
-
Wow I'm actually surprised! Especially for a country which main positive point is it's freedom :p
-
Psh in NYC we can't even buy a soda from the fountain that's more than 16 oz anymore (as if people wouldn't just buy 2 instead).
-
Don't know what the fountain is or how much oz is, but I get what you mean.
-
When you buy a soda at a fast food place and they give you a cup to fill on your own, the machine is called a fountain. Oz = ounces
-
That's the American way my friend
-
Yep. You have the freedom of choice (just not the freedom to choose certain things politicians view as bad choices")
-
Exactly! "Do as I say, not as I do"
-
Dump it down the drain. That's what I'm gonna do.
-
Testify! This is what should be off-putting about this promotion - this crap is toxic.
