Luke Smith, the Interview, and YOU. (Thread To Possibly End All Threads)

I'll just re-post what I posted in one out of countless Luke threads.
I think the problem is that people are reading this with their own inner voice, one that is, by default, aggravated and prideful of the self-entitlement that's been running rampant across these forums. I had a feeling that this was, as always, blown out of proportion. Smith seems like a nice guy, and, when you're reading things off the internet, you, or we tend to read with a monotone, do we not? That leaves little room for emotions / emphasis to be shown outside of caps, italics, exclamation points or whatever else it may be, without describing the person's actual behavior being presented [at that time].
Until we get an audio log-- until we get an actual video interview of this conversation, we cannot say, for sure, that he was coming off as "a jerk". Yes, Bungie's philosophy involves mystery and letting ideas flow around that mystery. For all we know, it could've been a casual talk with a couple of laughs. You don't want to spend $80 , but want the emotes / class items? Well, that's too bad really. Yet, the anger has been voiced to the point where petitions have started in attempts to fire Smith. Do you really want to get rid of the guy who brought us the Vault of Glass? If not, you might as well pray they introduce micro-transactions, some that involve these emotes and exclusive class items. But will the community start crying about that? Wouldn't be surprised
