Does this little thing really bother you that much. Its commonly revered to as battlefront 3 to not confuse with the original game, I don't find this an issue as long as people understand it's a reboot.

It does because people are expecting an exact copy of battlefront 2
-
Nobody wants a copy of battlefront 2. What the fans want is a game that improves upon the franchise that is already established. Taking away things such as space battles just to (more than likely) sell it later as DLC is not improving anything.

You'd be surprised and this game already improved on so much with it just being made right now. This is an absolute dream for anyone that played the originals but we'll bitch for one game mode even when we can dog fight in the air regardless
-
Also we have limited vehicle combat, don't forget that tidbit of information. Not sure how limited but we shall see.
-
Is it limited because of the oh so precious AT-AT? You can fly,use tanks and transport. The Star Wars vehicle arsenal is pretty limited already compared to the standard amount in battlefield games
-
Not just the AT-AT. That's one example but that's not it. If you compare the vehicles shown so far the insane amount in the first and second games, it seems like the new game is missing some. There might only be 2 types of air vehicles, a couple of ground vehicles, etc. Again, this is yet to be seen how limited it will be.
-
The AT-AT was a joke. In the E3 gameplay you can clearly see the guy driving it. Really I don't see how the previous games had a larger amount of vehicles. They're were the tanks, aircraft, speeders, and walkers
-
There were those archtypes, but many more different variants.
-
They still function the same. No different, a tank is a tank
