I know people will argue and complain at this, call me a keyboard warrior yada yada yada. Just hear me out okay? The link is from 3 years ago when Destiny was revealed. It's interesting to note in the art for the planets and areas that the European dead zone is included. What's even more interesting is that in game footage for the Reef was showcased(Vestian Outpost). In another video from around 2-3 years ago it was majorly hinted that Saturn and Mercury would be playable areas, even going as far as to show 3 guardians walking inside a building with the burning sun outside. There's even a cut scene with the Queens brother on Earth("In the wild, this is how we say hello." Ring any bells?) Dinklebot even has unheard dialogue. There was also the promise of fully customisable guardians but you get the point.
Now here's the real kicker, the 'dlc'.
The season pass is priced at $35 which is fair enough. What isn't fair is that $35 is around £22, NOT £35!
The Taken King, which looks great, is priced at $40 which is around £25, NOT £40!
This 'Legendary Edition' is set to be $60 which should be about £37.78. At release it will be around £45. The BIG PROBLEM is that the base game cost many people £40-£60, so for this we'll just say £45. That is already money loss for many. Now add on the £35 season pass(add £5 if you bought them separately) and slap on the £40 for The Taken King(at this stage it should be called 'The Taken Money') and you've spent £120+. You've lost £60, if you still plan on buying TTK.
£20=$31
£35=$55
£45=$71
£75=$120
£120=$190
Now I know this has been very negative and somewhat angry, which it really is, but this game is fun. Destiny has addictive and fun gameplay and crazy awesome guns and armour. But many if not all of us have been robbed. Sure you can't blame Bungie for everything (f*** you Activision) but the proof is in the old videos. Destiny has been fun but I fear it is time to sell it and move on. E3 had shown us an abundance of new games to look forward to. Fallout 4, Mass Effect Andromeda, the FFVI remake and much more. Post your thoughts and feeling about all of this, as everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I would like to see yours.

Edit 1: looked on the psn store and TTK digital collector's edition, which is basically the same as the legendary edition hardcopy, is £75 which equals $120.
Edit 2: I put the money conversion in the dlc section.

4 RepliesAgree completely. Bungie and Activision have tipped their 10 year hand, and it's all about the $$$ and how to give the player base the bare minimum so they can charge for a greater number of DLC releases. WHY would any gamer want to support this model?
