We're near a tipping point. Eventually they will nerf it after so many people have it to balance the pvp experience. I'm sure once a nerf happens xur will sell it after that. By then it won't matter for pve players because so many people will have it. After a few months of everyone complaining about them it will receive more nerfs. Should they sell it. No Should they increase the drop rate. No Should they release new weapons periodically between dlc. Yes When ever I see g horn stuff I just say blah blah blah and move on.

Saying they'll nerf Gjallarhorn in PvP because everyone has it is like saying they'll nerf Truth because everyone has it.

  • Every one has it and uses it. That's different from after one having it and not using. They balance the pvp experience based on who uses what and how much. They buffed pulse rifle because everyone had a bad juju and hated it. They will never touch the truth because we never touch the truth. What you and I are saying are entirely different things. They balance the game mechanics with every patch release. Just as the thorn may be a victim because of the amount of use and publicity it receives. Ex: availability + use × complaints = nerf It can happen to catagories for entire Class of weapons. This will cause players to move their attention. Or Idividual weapons because of unexpected use and abuse. Ask the devs. If they would it would very delicately and vaguely explained the way I have.

  • That's funny, I see FAR more thorns, last words and red deaths in crucible than I do exotics of any other type. Maybe I'm just not seeing the ghorn after getting gunned down by 6 thorn users

  • Look at it this way. What's the difference between Ghorn and a normal rocket? The wolfpack rounds right? Well in crucible the initial blast with kill you so the wolfpack rounds have nothing to track unless another enemy player is near by in which case said player will either have died along with the first player or live with minimum health. It's not often that Wolfpack Rounds get a kill in Crucible so again just because Xür sells it does not mean they will nerf it.
