Any noob that comes along and buys the $80 collectors edition gets both expansions, the exclusive exotic class items, the shaders and new emotes which you can only get through buying this edition. This means that Day 1 players who have spent $100 dollars + $40 for the taken king get less unless they re-buy all of the expansions which would mean that in total they would've spent $60 more than a noob buying the collectors edition.
Not only that, players who only own the house of wolves are now forced to buy the dark below in order to buy the standard $40 taken king download even if they don't want to. Many beta players will remember the request for more emotes, well those emotes are exclusive to people who may not even be aware destiny had them.
I think Deej's latest philosophy must be 'out with the old, in with the new.' Since they aren't showing any respect to the loyal fans who have beta-tested this game. I don't have to be patient with this game anymore not with Fallout 4 and Halo 5 coming out soon. This dlc is a joke.
They should sell a Veteran Edition at $45 (seems fair) with the following:
The Taken King
All the Digital extra content from the collectors edition
The weapon pack
and the VIP loot
what you think?
fight for what is right

You need to fix this Bungie! Or boycott TTK.
Edit: This post is now on trending keep bumping so Bungie can see this. Lots of support so far!
'JustAnotherGuy' suggested going on Bungie's twitter page.

Veteran Edition sounds amazing! Been with Bungie since launch and all I want is the new DLC and the in-game, VIP content. Is that so hard, Bungie? Come on!

Thanks from bungee to all the Ching Chings who send us their money for nothing. The next DLC will come enjoy!!!!

1 ReplyEverything you mentioned to be sold at $45 should be $20. It's a fairly standard dlc sized expansion.

I do think it is stupid but I have spent 60 doors and got all the dlc so far and the main game do to pre order but I am very tempted to spend the 80 doors and get the new collectors edition even though I own the base game and all dlc so far

The Legendary edition is $60 not $80. The collector's edition is $80.

You do realize the extra gear is for buying the collectors edition, not because they're new. That's capitalism, those who pay more, get more.. If you got to pick what you want out the collectors edition for less , then it'd be pointless for them to sell it.. Want more? Pay more
-
Don't you get it, they want your money, and they will stomp on their morality to get it. I remember when MCC added ODST to the game, free of charge, and free xbox live time, all to say sorry for the lousy launch of their game.

Bump. There should be a collector's edition upgrade for those of us who already have the limited/digital guardian EDs. I would say make it $10-$20 and have it include the collector's ED digital content along with TTK. By the way, VIP loot is available for everybody even without the DLC
