I'm an xbox user and I've noticed since launch destiny's content release has been a little asymmetrical ... so i'm just asking why?
#well that sucks, sony paid to get exclusive content and bungie accepted, sure business is business but what about loyalty to your consumers
#looking back at my previous edit loyalty should go both ways. Bungie has done right by me since Halo CE and I want the company to survive and continue to make great products and if that means they have to sell a few pieces exclusive content to the highest bidder i'm ok with that.

35 RepliesAll about money bruh. Money talks. Microsoft didnt care to meet Activisions outrageous price demands, instead opted for its own IPs. Nothing wrong with this I suppose, the end result is some half áss exclusives. We are still getting the everything in the Taken king, so don't let this crap bother you bruh, don't be one of those guys that just quits, Destiny is a really good game. What I do now is knock out the reset every tuesday then off to another game till next week comes around the corner.

I Can think of two non money related reasons 1)PS4's focus on a more social experience with gaming and destiny's CONSTANT need for socialising with strangers when you don't have enough friends 2) XBone's poor performance at the first e3 they talked about it maybe idk about this one

$$$$$$ that's y
-
$$$$$$$$ and Asians
-
They are being payed to give playstation users exclusives
-
If you pay a whore enough money.......she'll love you too
-
Looks strange as 2 words all I got from this
-
They dont love playstation more... They love their money
-
theyve been paid too
-
Bungie was loyal to last gen Xbox, they're with playstation now.
-
Sony pays more, and Bungie is a gold digger.
-
Because of money idiot. Open your eyes. Your loyalty is worth NOTHING TO THEM. They dont care about you at all. They dont give a -blam!- about playstation either. They care about money only
-
Money
-
Because bungie works for sony why do you think they dont make halo anymore and 343 makes halo *sighs* stupid
-
money.. sony paid.. end
-
Follow the money.

2 RepliesDepends, why does CoD love Xbox more?
-
Sony giving Microsoft a big f you for halo. We got Bungie now!
But you've still got halo, which is better than a few exclusive weapons, 2 of which I've never got anyway
-
Strictly business
-
It's not just the highest bidder, it's also that they didn't have an established fan base on Playstation. It helped get their name on a new system.
-
1 ReplyYou say what about loyalty to customers: Gamers are well known to be loyal to their favorite devs. Bungie knew the Xbox players who've already experienced their handiwork on Halo would be highly likely to buy into Destiny. They wanted to give incentive to the people who never got to experience their work due to Halo not being on PS. put simply: they needed to expand their demographic.

2 RepliesActivision, not Bungie. Publishers make deals like this. Third part developers just want as many people to play and enjoy their game as possible so deals like this don't work in their favour since it only pisses off a portion of the player base.
-
3 RepliesThey like money that's clear now.
-
Because, better.

A bit of background. If you have been a PS mainly player you will have heard about Bungie as one of those good developers you can't play on your console. To XBox players Bungie is to you, what Naughty Dog is to PS players. So when they show the PS4 reveal and we see among such luminaries as Mark Cerney the premier Xbox delevoper we get interested. That is the first well announced thing, prior to that they have been thanked from other publishers (eg Uncharted 2 MP). Now to really make things obvious that PS4 is the big thing, the deal goes down for more DLC to entice more people to PS4. To PS players Destiny on PS4 is a really big deal. It would be the eqivalent to XB players getting games from the Uncharted studio

Idk what that post was, But who doesn't love more money?
