I pre-ordered Destiny's original collectors edition for about $100.00. That included Destiny, and both Expansions. Now, I would like to purchase the collectors edition for The Taken King. Does this mean I must pay for Destiny, and Expansions I and II again? Is there anyway those can be deducted from the cost of The Taken King: Collectors Edition, while maintaining the other exclusive items?
And as a side question, why was the original collectors edition $20.00 more than TTK's collectors edition, if the TTK version includes more content? Where did that $20.00 go?

To anyone that can answer: is it true that, as someone that owns all destiny dlc+ premium edition, I miss out on content of I only buy the new dlc? What I'm reading is there are extras that only come with the new complete edition... If so bungie can get -blam!-d because that will be the final nail for me.

And is TTK part of year 1 or year 2 of Destiny? Is there going to be a cheaper expansion pass including TTK, and the year 2 expansions?

Zach, Time will tell if Bungie offers a prorated or discounted product for existing customers. For now, yes you will need to pay full price for the new collectors edition.
