After playing level 35 prison of elders for approximately 3 hours into the dirty AM time zone I was forced to conceit defeat when one of my team mates had to call it quits. Sadly we where in the final round teasingly close to defeating Skolas. Now I am so emotionally abused that I will not want to attempt playing again for weeks when hopefully some of the disgust has left my immediate memory bank.
The question really becomes; Should there rightfully be a save checkpoint as with VoG or similar raids?
Considering the time and effort it takes to reach Skolas it seems ludicrous that there is no ability to save the game and return as you could in the raids.
I formally request a vote from the community. Surely I can't be the only person burned by this travesty!!
Bungie - the game takes so much of a players time to progress, please don't try and ruin my life with poor design choices that can be avoided. I don't mind a grind, but this was just plain cruel.

Ie, you cant get to skolas one night with 2 players, then leave (for whatever reason), then next day invite 2 different friends/players to the checkpoint to finish the job.
